New Distributorship: ATEX Explosion Proof Lighting from Glamox

We are proud to announce that Worldwide Procurement Service UK Ltd has been appointed as a distributor for Glamox products in Ghana and Nigeria.

Glamox is a world renowned specialist lighting manufacturer.  Supplying lighting to various sectors of industry, including the Offshore Oil & Gas – fixed, floating platforms or FPSO’s.  It is in this sector that WPS has built a strong reputation with our clients in Ghana and Nigeria supplying top quality products with solutions for crew safety, enabling crew and engineers to work in every conceivable dark corner in their workplace in good light.   Investment in good lighting enhances the personal safety of engineers and crew, particularly in hazardous areas where ATEX explosion proof fluorescents or LED’s are a requirement.

The wide assortment of Glamox products available to our clients are of superior technical quality, and available for a wide range of applications – including challenging environments and hazardous /explosive areas. 

All maritime lighting requirements, including interior lighting, floodlights and searchlights, explosion-proof fluorescents and navigation lights are where Glamox really have  set the standard for marine and offshore lighting with their innovative and energy efficient  (LED) solutions for extreme applications. For example WPS are supplying FPSO’s that are in waters offshore of the equator (Ghana and Nigeria) which requires the technical knowledge and quality in manufacture that Glamox supply in their products.

Glamox has recently supplied a complete lighting package to a new floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO) that will operate off the coast of Brazil. The FPSO is constructed and operated by Modec, one of the largest FPSO contractors in the world.  More than 1800 Glamox LED light luminaires have been supplied to the FPSO, with a product range from downlights (DL60) to explosion proof products like the FX60 floodlights and MAX LED.
